Current Chapter Activities
 
Monthly Meetings:  The Central Illinois Chapter ASHI meets the 2nd Monday of each month (except the month of July when we hold our "Summer Conference), usually in the evening from 6-9 pm, at various locations in Central Illinois.  At these monthly meetings we will hold a short business meeting during dinner and then follow with two (2) hours of training.  Chapter training qualifies for one (1) ASHI Membership Renewal Credit (MRC) for each hour of training.  Training typically includes a guest speaker and/or a "Round Table" discussion of a specific topic related to home inspections.

January 13-15, 2005:  ASHI's Inspection World 2005, Austin, TX., the largest, most comprehensive Conference and Exhibition for the home inspection profession at the Hilton Austin.  This year's conference, "Are You Experienced", will prepare you to face professional challenges in a changing world.  It will offer 36 educational sessions, networking opportunities, concentrated "Round Table" discussions, and a wealth of information and tools in the Exhibit Hall with 65 or more registered vendors and providers.  For more information, call 847-759-2820, Ext. 187, or go to http://www.inspectionworld.org/
 
March 4-6, 2005:  "Greater Springfield Home and Builders Show" will be held in Springfield, IL at the Prairie Capital Convention Center, Springfield, IL.  CICASHI will sponsor a booth representing ASHI where consumers and builders can learn the value of an ASHI inspector and the meaning of "The ASHI Experience".  The Chapter will also provide seminars on "The Value of a Home Inspection when Buying a New or Used Home".
 
July 9, 2005:  CICASHI's "2nd Annual Summer Conference" will be held at the Route 66 Hotel & Convention Center, Springfield, IL.  This will be an all-day training conference featuring quest speaker Cory Friedman, Chairman of the Educational Committee for the Northern Illinois Chapter ASHI and a principle with the Bellman Group, Inc. a home inspection training / education provider working with community colleges throughout Illinois.  He has been a guest speaker at several code enforcement functions in addition to being a presenter at the national ASHI convention and numerous presentations for NIC-ASHI.   This conference will qualify for six (6) State of Illinois "Continuing Education" Credits (CE) as well as for 6 ASHI MRC's.
